About the exhibition
“The Edge of Things” is a major solo exhibition by the internationally known photographer Nadav Kander. It brings together work spanning more than three decades, from portraits to large-scale landscapes along the Yangtze, the Thames and historically charged places such as Chernobyl.
Kander’s visual language works with emptiness, shadow and ambiguity. His photographs do more than document places or people: they distil them into questions about transience, memory and human vulnerability. The exhibition was curated by David Campany in collaboration with the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography and Foam.
AVS tip: well worth seeing for anyone working between portraiture, landscape and a cinematic, atmospheric visual language.
