Erwin Fieger: “A Pioneer of Colour Photography” in Stuttgart
Leica Galerie Stuttgart honours Erwin Fieger (1928–2013) with the exhibition “Ein Pionier der Farbfotografie” (“A Pioneer of Colour Photography”). His photographs of London from the 1950s take centre stage, alongside works from sporting events and his travels.
Fieger’s photographs combine observations of everyday life with a precise approach to colour, light and pictorial space. The exhibition is organised in collaboration with his estate and the Deutsche Fotothek at SLUB Dresden.
